Adsense & IntelliTXT (Kontera, Miva, Amazon): Follow Up

I posted about the AdSense policy update last week and mentioned I emailed my AdSense rep to find out if I could run IntelliTXT. Last time my AdSense rep said “No” but said he would keep me updated leading me to believe there was a change coming down the pipe. After the new policy was released, I emailed again. This time my rep forwarded the email to their genereal support and I got a favorable response elaborating on the new policy. They said in general publishers can run 3rd party advertisements as long as they do not look similar to the AdSense ads on your site. Not just the page, but the entire site. So as long as you aren’t using the same color scheme or the same/similar layout for your other advertisements, it sounds like you should be fine running IntelliTXT, Kontera, Miva, Amazon, or any of the other in-line text programs or contextual programs.
